As I have posted about before, we have received a few wonderful blessings this year that has allowed us to be able to actually give our monkeys a Christmas this year. Well, Sunday we were blessed with another one.
The Women's Fellowship group at our church picks three needy families every year to do something for to help ensure they have a better Christmas. This past Sunday they announced the families during service. But because I had to work on Sunday we weren't there to receive so I received a phone call Monday afternoon asking if they could come over to our house. Of course I said yes because these are some of the sweetest ladies you will ever meet.
One of the ladies and her husband came over and delivered to us four boxes of food, toilet paper, paper towels, and a card with gift cards inside. This is one of the most thoughtful gestures. We really appreciate everything that God has allowed to be given to us this year. Our pantry is bursting and our hearts are full of joy and thankfulness.
Merry Christmas friends!

So amazing. I love that churches are taking care of their people. Ours started a fundraiser last year for Christmas time, and people can nominate families etc. Last year they raised over $20K, of which we received some help for my surgery, and this year they raised over $53K!!!
That is really wonderful! I know it must take a load off. It was a thoughtful gift! A lot of people think about toys for children on Christmas but may not remember that the family's pantry may be looking a little bare in order to afford Christmas gifts for the kiddos.
