Holy Update Batman!

I didn't realize it had been so long since I posted on here. I have definitely felt bloggy withdrawal though. So here I am...finally taking a moment to update about what's been up at Momma's house.

My last post was in January and Sammy had started speech therapy. Since that post, Sammy has started combining signing with speech. Now he actually speaks more than signs. He is even beginning to put two word phrases together and THAT my friends is exactly where he is suppose to be! We are so happy that he has managed to catch up to where he needs to be but sometimes I am afraid we have created a monster....LOL.

Also, when I last left you.....I was working nights between two convenience stores, desperate for hours, gone every night, and not liking it one bit. Well, in February I got a new job.....and I LOVE IT! I am working in an eye doctor's office as an optometric assistant. I got a pay raise and a steady schedule where I am home with my family every night. Did I say that I LOVE my job?!?

Now for an update on the hubs....he is still doing okay considering what he went through just a year ago. I will be honest and say that I was so scared when March 6th rolled around (the day Hubs went in to the hospital)....I was afraid that history would repeat itself. But it didn't and he is still hanging in there. He stills get exhausted over the least little thing but he is capable of watching the boys while I am at work and taking the girls to and from school.

Speaking of the monkeys....they are all doing well. Megan got her butt chewed over a crappy report card from last nine weeks but I do believe she has learned her lesson and now that Momma is home in the evenings....there is no more slacking on schoolwork. Allison is doing great in school...smart as can be but seriously downplays it...lol. And Logan....sigh......Logan is Logan. That boy is gonna drive me to drinking one day. He is as stubborn as they come and mean as a snake....but he's so darn cute people tend to indulge him. And Sammy is following in his footsteps...lol.

Oh, and finally, the school update.....I have had to drop out this semester. I was just too overwhelmed and I felt my kids were suffering for it. I didn't seem to  have any time between work and school. So I made the decision to drop my classes for this semester. I plan to pick them back up later and at a much lighter load. Now I have time for the Hubs, the kiddos, and occasionally me. I was a bit sad to drop but sometimes we have to do what we have to do.
